Biography
Miley Cyrus was born as Detiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, to Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, in Franklin, Tennessee. She was named Destiny Hope due to her parent's beliefe she would accomplish great things, and that "It is her Detiny to bring Hope in to the world." She got her nick name, Miley, from the word Smiley, because as a young child, she was always smiling.
At the age of nine, Miley became interested in acting well her and her family lived in Canada for a small period of time. At age eleven, she began auditioning for 'Hannah Montana'. At first, Miley auditioned for the role of Hannah's best friend, Lily, (now played be Emily Osment). Seeing her talent, the people then asked her to audition for Hannah's role (at the time, Hannah Montana was to be 'Alexis Texas'). So, Miley did, but was told she was to small, and to young. But, Miley really wanted the role, so she kept sending in tapes, which paid off. When she was twelve, she was called to LA for futher auditions. In the end, they choose her "because of her energetic and lively performance and was seen as a person who "loves every minute of life", with the "everyday relatability of Hilary Duff and the stage presence of Shania Twain"." The full main cast includes Miley Cyrus (Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana), Billy Ray Cyrus (Robbie Ray Stewart), Jason Earles (Jackson Stewart), Emily Osment (Lily Truscott), and Mitchel Musso (Oliver Oaken).

Unknown Months, 2007- Award presenter at the 2007 American Music awards, and the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. Performed with father at a season 5 Dancing With The Stars Result Show. Guest on The Ellen Degenres Show. Also, Guest roles on 'The Replacments' and 'The Emporers New School'.

December 25, 2006- Performer in the 2006 Christmas-Day parade (As Hannah)

September 24, 2006- Release of CD soundtrac, titled 'Hannah Montana', including 8 songs of 'Hannah's', also, the DVD, Hannah Montana, Volume one, Livin' The Rockstar Life was released.
